The 2021 Nationals will be held in conjunction with the Aldo Alessio Race and Phyllis Kleinman Swiftsure Regatta

  • The Aldo Alessio Race is a long distance race that is held on Friday. We'll have our own One-Design start.

  • The Phyllis Kleinman Swiftsure Regatta is a ORR and One-Design regatta. We will be racing on the course with other ORR and One-Design classes. Each class will have separate starts.

  • There will be a competitor briefing for the Phyllis Kleinman Swiftsure Reggata on Saturday morning.

  • There will be a Saturday social at StFYC with light fair.

  • Class perpetual trophies will be awarded Sunday along with regatta awards.

House Rules

  • No hats and no cellphones allowed in club.

  • Check for any posted covid restrictions and respect/follow and social-distancing or mask rules.

Launching and berthing at StFYC

  • A hoist will be available one day before the event and one day after.

  • Trailer storage on site, details will be included in the Notice of Race.

Safety

  • We will be racing on the city-front in front of StFYC. The conditions can be very cold and windy. Please prepare accordingly.

  • Make sure that you have a VHF radio on-hand and charged in case of an emergency. Use VHF channel 69 for communications from/to the Race Committee.

  • Covid considerations: We are unfortunately starting to see another rise of cases in the SF Bay Area in July and as such many businesses are posting their own safety requirements. The state and county have not announced any new mandates but please respect and follow any social distancing or mask policies that StFYC may have in effect. Check www.stfyc.com or call the front desk for up-to-date information.

2021 National Class Meeting

  • Due to the covid situation, we will hold a Zoom meeting for our 2021 National Class Meeting on Tuesday August 24, 2021 at 7pm.

  • We will take nominations and votes for 2021-2022 class officers any time leading up to the meeting. Please contact the board using our contact form: sc27.org/about-us/contact-us

  • We would like to get a sense of what the class would prefer for the next Nationals date and location so please let us know any time. We'll set aside time during the meeting to discuss.

  • If you can't make the meeting but would like to make a nomination, vote, or share a message let us know and we will make time ahead of the meeting to speak.
